Trakindo Collaborates with Politeknik Negeri Batam to Present Goes to Campus Program
NEWS – PT Trakindo Utama (Trakindo), a provider of Cat heavy equipment solutions in Indonesia, is committed to continuing to contribute to the advancement of education in Indonesia. One of them is through the Trakindo Goes to Campus (TGTC) program which is carried out in collaboration with technology colleges in Indonesia. At the end of 2021, Trakindo collaborated with Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) as a partner. With a webinar format for Polibatam students as participants, Trakindo shares expertise and experience in the heavy equipment industry especially during the post-pandemic, while at the same time equipping the participants in preparing themselves as well as possible to meet the needs of the industrial sector during this economic recovery period.
The theme of TGTC at this time is the career prospects of the heavy equipment industry after COVID-19 in the era of economic recovery. This activity was attended by around 180 students from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, especially the Diploma 3 Electronic Engineering Study Program, Diploma 4 Mechatronic Engineering, Diploma 3 Manufacturing Electronics Engineering, Diploma 3 Instrumentation Engineering, Diploma 4 Robotics Engineering, Diploma 4 Energy Generation Engineering Technology and Diploma 3 Mechanical Engineering and also attended by a number of Polibatam teaching staff.
HR Manager – Central Services Trakindo, Gemilang Adi Perdana, who appeared interactively, tried to give an overview of the human resource (HR) needs at Trakindo. Post-pandemic, we have big work to do nationally, i.e. to continue the development of important infrastructure, strengthen the local economy, and meet energy demand. These works require the role and contribution of the heavy equipment industry undertaken by Trakindo. “To carry out this role optimally, it takes the best talents from all over Indonesia,” said Gemilang.
At this event, Trakindo shared knowledge ranging from needs to what skills are needed, and ways to face challenges amid the rapid development of technology. This is expected to be able to prepare students to face the challenges of the times, as well as broaden their horizons. “Trakindo welcomes young Indonesians who are ready to become pioneers, innovators, champions of progress to join us, to move forward, build the country and raise the nation,” said Gemilang Adi Perdana.
