Seminar on Stock Exchange 101, “Investing Smartly, Controlled Risk” with the Indonesia Stock Exchange

POLIBATAM-The capital market is a market that provides various available financial investment instruments. Currently, it is known that not all people understand the capital market.

On Friday, 28 July 2023, Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) held a seminar on the capital market together with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), which was summarized in the Stock Exchange Seminar 101 with the theme “Smart Investing, Controlled Risk”.

This seminar activity was attended directly by Iman Rachman, the main Director of PT. Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and a guest speaker at this seminar. This is something new and the first time in Batam. Before the seminar started, he and his staff also visited Politeknik Negeri Batam Investment Gallery.

“Basically the future is full of uncertainty, plus inflation which can reduce the value of money in the future is a strong reason to invest. There are various investment instruments in the capital market that one can look at,” explained Iman. Therefore, Mr. Uuf Brajawidagda S.T., M.T., Ph.D as the Director of Politeknik Negeri Batam hopes the younger generation can use this activity to start investing early.

The seminar ended with the symbolic giving of a plaque by the Stock Exchange to the Batam State Polytechnic and vice versa as a token of thanks. The event was closed with a photo session with the seminar participants.
