Polibatam with Baekseok University Republic of Korea Sign MoU

NEWS-Politeknik Negeri Batam and the Baekseok University Republic of Korea held an MoU signing event on cooperation in the field of education development. The MoU signing ceremony was held on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

“Relations between Indonesia and Korea have been going well. For Batam, there is a consortium from Korea that manages Batam’s Hang Nadim Airport and the development of the airport in the future. We are very happy and welcome this MoU for the development of our two institutions in the future”, said Uuf, the Director of Polibatam.

“10 years ago when I was still teaching in Singapore I had the opportunity to go to Batam and meet Batam children. I taught him and until he graduated from Polibatam. He studies diligently, I was called to study at Baekseok for a master’s scholarship and is currently enrolling for his doctorate”, said Prof. Kang. “He is now studying hard for Indonesia in the electronics field. We are trying to look like Batam children, we can recommend getting a scholarship. For the preparation of English and Korean, we can teach Korean in Polibatam to Batam students. We really want to help each other in Indonesia. Currently, many Indonesian citizens are studying in Korea, the important thing is that they can speak Korean,” added Prof. Kang.

With the signing of this MoU, it will open the first step in cooperation between Baekseok University and Polibatam in the development of education, including scholarships for Polibatam students to be able to continue their studies in Korea. We are also working hard to cooperate with each other in the future.
