Polibatam was Visited by Delegation of the University of Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UNIKL MITEC) Malaysia

NEWS-On Tuesday 7 June 2022, Polibatam had a special guest, namely a delegation from the University of Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UNIKL MITEC) from Malaysia led by the Head of Campus, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Hj. Ishamuddin Bin Mustapha with Dr. Khairul Firdaus Hj Adrutdin as Deputy Dean and Mohd Shamri Bin Abu Nasir as executive in the context of exploring cooperation between the two colleges.

The visit began with a meeting and discussion between the UNIKL MITEC delegation and the Polibatam Management, represented by Ahmad Riyad Firdaus as Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, in the meeting room R301 on the 3rd floor, Polibatam Main Building. Isshamuddin in his presentation hoped that this meeting could find common ground from the resources owned by each campus to be used as collaboration opportunities.

During the discussion, several points of cooperation were also discussed, including mobility exchanges for students and lecturers, visiting professors, joint-publications, joint-degrees to further study opportunities for Polibatam graduates. The event continued with visits to several Polibatam campus facilities.

UNIKL MITEC was impressed with the PBL learning model applied by Polibatam which involved local industries in its implementation. The event closed with the exchange of souvenirs between the two parties. In the future, this collaboration is expected to strengthen relations between the two universities and increase opportunities for students to get to know each other and exchange inspiration regarding science and education at an international level.
