Polibatam Students Won Gold Medal at the 2023 ASEAN Skill Competition (ASC) XIII in Singapore

POLIBATAM-Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) students have again made achievements at the international level, this time winning gold at the ASEAN Skill Competition (ASC) XIII 2023 in Singapore. On this occasion, the Governor of the Riau Islands, H. Ansar Ahmad S.E., M.M., congratulated the representatives of the nation’s best young generation who have succeeded in making Indonesia proud on the international stage through ASEAN WorldSkills XIII 2023 at the Suntec convention and exhibition center, Singapore.

“Alhamdulillah, Indonesia achieved the overall championship. This year, the Riau Islands province represented Indonesia in the ASEAN WorldSkills event in the CNC maintenance and industrial automation vocational, held from 18 to 28 July 2023,” said Ansar.

On behalf of Fauzan Azim Pratama and Wildan Maulana, they are Politeknik Negeri Batam students representing the Industrial Automation vocational field and won a gold medal. Then, on behalf of Naufal Rifqi Taufiqul Hakim and Rizky Adi Putra, students of SMK N 1 Batam representing the CNC maintenance vocational field, also won a gold medal in this event.

They represent the best young generation of the Riau Islands from SMK 1 Batam and Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam), who have made the Riau Islands province proud internationally.

The Governor of the Riau Archipelago province expressed his greatest appreciation and gratitude for the hard work and sincerity of the ASEAN WorldSkills participants. The Governor also expressed his gratitude to all regional selection committees at the provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office, trainers and mentors at the Ministry of Manpower BBPVP in Bekasi, teachers and trainers at SMK Negeri 1 Batam and Politeknik Negeri Batam for giving their attention and education so the students won the championship.

And to all parties involved in this ASEAN WorldSkills event, this achievement will continue to spur the younger generation of the Riau Islands to remain outstanding on the international stage. “Alhamdulillah, Polibatam won a gold medal in the ASEAN WorldSkills 2023 for the Industrial Automation category. All praise be to Allah, with whom goodness is perfected,” said Rifi as Deputy Director 1 of Polibatam.

The academic community of the Polibatam campus congratulates the Polibatam team for making Indonesia proud at the international level at the ASEAN Worldskills 2023 event. Hopefully, this achievement can inspire other Polibatam students to be able to make the name of their beloved alma mater proud.
