Polibatam has Opened Fast Track Diploma 2 of Goods Distribution Study Program

POLIBATAM-The Business Management Department of Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) has now opened the Fast Track Diploma 2 (D2) Program/Fast Track Goods Distribution. This study program is one of the Directorate General of Vocational Education programs that aims to accelerate the creation of expert and skilled workers in the goods distribution or logistics field in Batam.

Through this program, students can study at a vocational tertiary institution within three semesters or 1.5 years with a minimum total credit load of 72 credits. The D2 Fast Track Program of Goods Distribution accelerates the creation of an expert and skilled workforce.

Students who take this program will get the following benefits:
1. Shorter time
With this program, it is enough for students who graduate from SMK to take 1.5 years of education to complete the D2 level. In a relatively short time, graduates can prepare themselves to work in the industrial world and apply the knowledge they have acquired.
2. More Competent
The learning portion which reaches 80 percent of practice and the obligatory 2-semester industrial internship, will shape students to become more competent with honed skills.
3. Easy to get a job
Graduates are able to grasp the basic principles of knowledge and skills in certain areas of expertise or enter the Indonesian national qualification framework/kerangka kualifikasi nasional Indoensia (KKNI). Thus, graduates are more likely to get a job and earn a higher salary.

Prospective students can equate competency or expertise certification (recognition other than subjects) they have had since sitting on the SMK bench as lecture credit through the Type A Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) mechanism. Fast Track D2 Program of Goods Distribution enables SMK graduates whose schools partner with one of the SK D2 Fast Track recipient polytechnics to continue their education at the tertiary level and complete it in a shorter time.
