Polibatam Once Again Obtains Matching Fund Grants with British Council & City Of Glasgow
POLIBATAM-Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam) has officially received a Matching Fund grant with partner funding from the British Council and City of Glasgow College to promote gender equality for women working in the logistics field. Polibatam is the only polytechnic to receive this competitive partner funding from the British Council. After a thorough proposal review, Polibatam was deemed eligible for the grant.
Polibatam was represented by Winanda Wahana Warga Dalam, Anjelina, Ayu Puspitasari, Fandy Bestario, Shinta Wahyu Hati, and Dwi Kartikasari from the Management and Business Department of Polibatam; and the Head of the CDC Unit, Hanifah Widiastuti. The application and evaluation process took place from May to August in a hybrid online and offline format.
Various programs will begin with research into the need analysis of stakeholders through online surveys and focus group discussions. Mentoring for workers in the logistics field, especially women, will be provided on the basic topics of gender equality, accounting, taxation, warehouse management systems, container loading systems, and CEISA.
