Polibatam Holds Website Optimization Assistance Training for Mubut Island Tourism Village Managers

NEWS-Politeknik Negeri Batam again held community service activities by Polibatam lecturers on Saturday, October 8, 2022. This training is intended for Mubut Island tourism managers, in Batam.

The community service activities include (1) food, product, and landscape photography training with cellphone cameras to produce interesting photos; (2) creating social media accounts for FB profiles, fanpages, groups, and SEO friendly; (3) how to post photos and captions that are easy for searchers to find; and (4) training on website optimization promotion of the tourist village of Mubut Island.

This community service activity was carried out in two places. First, the website optimization training was conducted in the main building of Politeknik Negeri Batam. After attending the website optimization training, the team of lecturers, students, resource persons, and managers went directly to Mubut Island for other training activities.

This activity was attended by five Lecturers from the Department of Informatics, Yeni Rokhayati, Metta Santiputri, Sartikha, Siskha Handayani, and Rina Yulius; training speakers; Mubud Island tourism manager; and seven students.

It is hoped that with this training activity, the manager has sufficient ability to optimize the website and promotional media for Mubut Island Tourism Village and achieve an increase in the number of visitors. In the future, with the tourist destination of Mubut Island, Batam is increasingly recognized by tourists and the number of tourists visiting is increasing.
