Polibatam Has Solar Panels, Fulfills Room Lighting Needs
POLIBATAM-Polibatam is a campus that really cares about renewable energy, one of which is by applying solar panels on the rooftop of the main building in 2012 for room lighting needs and Tower A in 2017 for power sockets and room lighting needs.
Electrical energy is one of the primary human needs for daily activities. Electrical energy is not only used for household purposes, but it is essential to support economic activities such as in industry and for public facilities such as public lighting and public service areas, including the Polibatam campus.
Solar Power Plants are electrical energy generators that convert energy from sunlight or solar energy into electrical energy so that they do not require fuel but only depend on the availability of sunlight, which is quite a lot in Batam. Polibatam Campus also applies solar panels on the roofs of the main building and tower A.
The use of energy from sunlight aims to reduce the use of fossil energy, which is increasingly depleting to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Renewable energy sources produced from solar panels in Polibatam can meet electricity needs for lighting rooms. The system uses a motion sensor system. If there is no activity, the electricity can turn off and on by itself if there is activity in the room.
This effort is Polibatam’s commitment to maintaining the sustainability of environmentally friendly energy on campus.
