Polibatam Fulfills Development Needs through Inaugurating 55 Students of the Engineer Professional Study Program

Politeknik Negeri Batam (Polibatam), the only Vocational College that has Engineer Professional Study Program/Program Studi Program Profesi Insinyur (PSPPI), carried out the inauguration and taking of the Engineer’s oath. PSPPI’s first batch numbered 55 students from various industries and existing institutions.

After completing 24 credits, students are entitled to hold the title of Insinyur/Engineer (Ir./Eng.). The origin of student agencies includes 6 Government Agencies, 15 Academics, and 34 Industrial and Private Practitioners.

“I am very pleased with the achievements of the students who, even though they are busy working every day, are still excited to take part in PSPPI classes. In the next batch, we already have approximately 56 students, some of whom are even from Padang City,” said Rahman Hakim, the Head of PSPPI Polibatam.

“Thank you Polibatam for your contribution to meet the needs of engineers to develop infrastructure and others in Indonesia, especially Batam City. We still have much to build and develop. Welcome to be an Engineer! Engineer Long Live!” Said Bambang Goeritno, the Secretary General of the Indonesian Engineers Association/Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia (PII).
