Polibatam Collaborates with SEAMOLEC in Microlearning Training
SEAMOLEC is an institution under the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) with the aim of developing Open Education and Distance Education in Southeast Asia. SEAMOLEC has 1 Microlearning program where the aim of the program is a learning approach that focuses on in-depth conceptual understanding and the development of complex skills in a field of knowledge.
Polibatam which applied the Product/Problem/Project Based Learning (PBL) method from 2019, can be an aspect of the SEAMOLEC Microlearning program. In 2021, Polibatam conducted a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SEAMOLEC. On June 12, 2023, at the Batu Ampar room, floor 2, Polibatam Technoprenenur Center Building, a cooperation agreement was signed and simultaneously opened the SEAMOLEC microlearning program training activities.
Present in person was Uuf Brajawidagda as the Director of Polibatam, accompanied by Bambang Hendrawan as Deputy Director II of Polibatam and the Quality Assurance Unit. A total of 35 participants consisting of lecturers from various Polibatam Departments, took part in the activity. SEAMOLEC was represented by Wahyudi as Director of SEAMOLEC and Dona Octanary as Training Division Staff as well as presenter.
“Hopefully with this Microlearning training from SEAMOLEC, Polibatam lecturers will be able to master more complex skills, and some application of knowledge in contexts that are relevant to a project, of course, this will be able to develop PBL in Polibatam,” said Uuf.
