KKT of Taxation and PS Team Polibatam Launches e-Filing Application, Educational Version of Annual Personal Tax Returns

NEWS – Polibatam Taxation applied expertise group, meaning kelompok keahlian terapan (KKT) and Polibatam Software (PS) Team launched an application that can assist in socialization activities in the field of taxation, on Friday (11/3/2022). The event was held in conjunction with Personal Tax Obligation Fulfillment Webinar.

This application was launched by the Director of Politeknik Negeri Batam, Uuf Brajawidagda. This event was attended by the Head of P2 Public Relations of the Riau Islands Regional Office of DJP, Sofian. The launching was filled with speakers from the Regional Office, Jendri, the General Functional Counselor of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxation (DGT) Riau Islands. The procedure for reporting the current Individual Annual SPT which will end on Thursday (31/3) for the reporting of the 2021 Fiscal Year is explained.

This application is the work of student Project-Based Learning (PBL) and the idea of the tax research team and the development of the PS Team application. This work was created as a tool to provide solutions regarding the absence of an application that can be used to practice annual tax reporting.

Problems arise as a result of the tax reporting system in Indonesia which has implemented real-time direct reporting on the online DGT website or Tax Application Service Provider partners from the Director General of Taxes to provide tax application services. The absence of an application that resembles or a dummy application for learning related to Personal SPT Reporting is the reason for making this educational version of the application.

Students who run PBL have assisted in working on this application. They come from two majors, namely Business Management and Informatics. This application is designed to resemble the actual reporting used by the DGT in receiving online tax returns. This application is made web-based which is an educational application related to reporting SPT 1770, 1770S, and 1770SS.

This application is expected to help Polibatam Tax Center and other Tax Centers in educating taxpayers, especially individuals, in reporting their annual tax returns. It is also expected to help students and Tax Volunteers who are practicing before doing tax reporting assistance every year. And it can also be used as an educational tool for people who are learning how to report Annual SPT.

This is also a form of commitment from Polibatam campus and Polibatam Tax Center which always cooperates with the Regional Office of DGT Riau Islands in carrying out community service activities, especially in taxation sector.
