Inauguration of Dewan Pengurus Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia (DP IAI) of the Riau Islands Province for the 2022-2026 Period

POLIBATAM-Zulfahmi was elected as the Chair of the Indonesian Accountants Association committee/Dewan Pengurus Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia (DP IAI) of the Riau Islands Province for the 2022-2026 period. Zulfahmi was elected for the second time in the election for the Chair of the IAI Riau Islands. The inauguration was held on Tuesday, 21 March 2023, at 09.00 and ended at 13.00. The inauguration of the DP IAI Riau Islands Province was held in the Auditorium Room on the 2nd Floor of Politeknik Negeri Batam.

This event was attended by 100 participants in a hybrid manner, including representatives from the Governor of the Riau Islands Province, Expert Staff in Governance and Law, Drs. Sardison, MTp.; Deputy Mayor of Batam H. Amsakar Ahmad, S.Sos, M.Sc.; the Head of BPK Representative for Riau Islands Province, Jariyatna, S.E., M.M., Ak., CPA., CSFA., CPSAK.; the Head of BPKP Representative for Riau Islands Province, Mardiyanto Arif Rahmadi, Ak, MM .; the Head of Office of the Financial Services Authority/Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK), Ronny Ukurtabarus; Representative Head of Riau Islands DGT/DJP Regional Office; the Representative of Bank Indonesia (BI) Riau Islands; the Representative of the Riau Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Rector or Leaders from tertiary institutions in Batam City; and attended online by Representative from Central DPN IAI, Maliki Heru Santosa; as well as IAI Management Representatives in each region of Indonesia.

In addition to selecting the Chairperson of the DP IAI Riau Islands Region, the inauguration also chose 27 Members of the DP IAI who together with the Chairperson of the DP will collectively lead the IAI Riau Islands for the next four-year period.

The DP IAI Riau Islands selected for the inauguration were Benni Sumarman, Arniati, Ph.D., Puspita Rama Nopiana, Depi Chandra, Alfonsa Dian Sumarna, Teddy Ariswandi, Zulkifli, Mortigor Afrizal Purba, Riri Zellmiyanti, Doni Putra Utama, A. Rahman, Sinarti, Dr. Asmaul Husna, Ria Karina, Virgo Lazarus, Arief Wasisto Edhi, Dr. Siswanto, Tityn Delfia, Dr. Hendi, Charles Christian, Fetri, Lilis Susanti, Petrus Marulak Sitohang, Rosa Fitri Monalisa, Popy Novi Yanti, and Juhli Edi Suranta Simanjuntak. The composition of the DP IAI Riau Islands Province represents practitioners, academics, and regulators who will lead IAI collectively collegial.

Zulfahmi said that IAI Riau Archipelago, especially the accounting profession, is ready to face digital transformation by adjusting conditions to developments in the accounting, financial, taxation, and other systems, to support the progress of the country and to be able to work together with all parties to safeguard the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

On the same occasion, Ahmad Riyad Firdaus, Ph.D., Deputy Director I of Politeknik Negeri Batam, conveyed and welcomed the audience who had attended and congratulated the new management and was ready to support the Riau Islands IAI work program from the Education sector, especially at the Polibatam campus.
