BRIN’s “Smart City Based on Smart People” Research Team Visits Polibatam
NEWS-Research Team of “Smart City based on Smart People: Local Initiatives and Social Innovation in Batam City”, Research Team of the National Research and Innovation Agency or Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN), Research Organization of Social Sciences and Humanities or Organisasi Riset Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial dan Humaniora (OR IPSH), and the Center for Community and Cultural Research or Pusat Riset Masyarakat dan Budaya (PRMB) will carry out field data collection activities located in Batam City.
On this occasion, the research team visited the Polibatam campus on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in room 301 of the Polibatam main building. The BRIN Research Team that attended were Yoka Pramadi, S.Sos., M.I.Kom. and Rusydan Fathy, S.Sos. (First Expert Researcher, PRMB BRIN) and Praditya Mer Hananto, M.Krim. (First Expert Researcher, the Directorate of Political Policy, Law, Defense, and Security of BRIN).
Meanwhile, who attended from Politeknik Negeri Batam were Polibatam Deputy Director 1 (Ahmad Riyad Firdaus, S.Si., M.T., Ph.D.), Polibatam Deputy Director 3 (Dr. Muhammad Zaenuddin, S.Si., M.Sc. .), The Head of Polibatam P3M (Daniel Sutopo Pamungkas, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.), and the Polibatam KKT Team (Widya Rika Puspita, S.Pd., M.Si., Ph.D, Yeni Rokhayati, S.Si ., M.Sc, Asrizal Deri Futra, S.Si, M.Si, etc.).
The objectives of this activity include mapping local initiatives and social innovations in Batam City that are relevant in the Smart City discourse and formulating a more contextual Smart City implementation model in Batam City. The challenges and obstacles in applying Smart City in Batam include local initiatives and social innovations in Batam City. In addition, there is also governance in the field of Smart City, especially those involving the community.
Hopefully, this meeting and discussion can facilitate the research that is being carried out and the results can contribute both to the implementation of smart people-based smart cities, particularly in Batam city and Indonesia in general.
