Batam Penitentiary Collaborates with Politeknik Negeri Batam

NEWS-In order to improve the quality of human resources for inmates, Batam Penitentiary established cooperation in social, literacy, information, and education fields with the Student Executive Board or Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) of Politeknik Negeri Batam, Wednesday (3/8/2022). This collaboration is a collaboration that has previously been carried out but was stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With this one-year collaboration, it is hoped that the inmates will get benefits for their hard skills.

Because the main focus of this collaboration is to improve the quality of human resources for the assisted residents, of course as long as this collaboration is carried out, there is no charge or free. Purely this activity is as a form of service of the Politeknik Negeri Batam to the community, especially people with a limited scope such as inmates.

“In principle, we agree, the vision and mission of Polibatam BEM for the inmates to return to society is very good. Welding training, for instance, is very good because the job opportunities for welding outside are also very potential. This activity will be in collaboration with work activities that are in line with the independence development program at the Batam Penitentiary, “said Novriadi B.

In this activity, a discussion session was also held regarding the implementation of activities that will be carried out during 2022.
